PETALING JAYA: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar took time from his schedule on Saturday (Nov 11) to visit the Sultan Ibrahim reservoir and water treatment plant in Gunung Pulai.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page on Sunday, the Royal Press Office said that the Sultan of Johor made a surprise visit to the site.
"Tuanku Sultan did a walk-about of the area to inspect the cleanliness and proper upkeep of the 94-year-old facility.
"He was also given an unscheduled on-site briefing by SAJ Ranhill Sdn Bhd president Tan Sri Hamdan Mohamad," read the statement.
The statement also explained that the reservoir was built in 1924 and could hold up to 1,220 million gallons (4.618 billion litres) of water.
